Walking home.. ALONE?!

VIDEO #1

VIDEO #2

I hope you guys are proud of me.
Now I walk to and from school - YAYUH.

This is me holding the first drink I bought in Taiwan BY MYSELF!
Usually, I'm with family or someone orders for me.
Ordering by myself in Mandarin brings me a sense of accomplishment. FOR REAL.
I was walking home after practicum this week and I was thirsty plus it was so hot outside (+20's) annnnd I had just come back from a weekend in Kenting with my cousin Linda. She ordered our drinks the whole weekend and I thought "Please, I can do this."
So I went up and ordered green tea - half sugar less ice. SUCCESS!
They put their drinks in bags so it's easier to hook it onto your scooter or if it's too cold to hold, you can just hold the bag. Smart, right?
My great-great-great-great-great-great...etc grandfather 鄭成功 - Koxinga.
My cousin Annette and her husband Aaron at the Night Market. They came to Taiwan for the goods aka... cheap food and cheap gooooods. (aka it is very inexpensive) They came to visit Taiwan along with the rest of the aunts in Canada. It was kind of like a reunion - my grandpa had 8 kids - 5 live here and 3 live in Canada. The ones from Canada including my mom (who came to see me for 3 weeks @_@ lovely.), Annette's mom and Wayne's mom. They all came back for a family photo with my grandpa. CUTE!
This is Chung-Chung - one of my many cousins' son. His name is a nickname ... it's the last word of his name and repeated. It's pretty common to do that here... mine was 喐喐 aka "chubby-chubby" ... guess why? My cheeks. DURR what else. But that was when I was young mmk. My sister's was 圓圓 aka "round round" because she looked like a meatball when she was younger.. JUST KIDDING. They wanted us Huang sisters to have semi-matching names thus, the nicknames about our weight were created. >0<
Rice burger from Costco.
SO DELICIOUS. It's rice "buns" and marinated beef or pork inside.
I want another one. OH YUM.
My cousin and his friend - my group partners during our day camp at Yong Kang Park that the church put on. The kids were really cute - my group's game was to get the kids to walk like ducks BUT they have to hold a balloon underneath their chin, balance 2 "pennies" on their lap while having their arms out like the duck's wings. Yeah - it was pretty difficult so we would tweak it accordingly for the kidlets that showed up. One group we let them balance them on their hands but then they didn't even squat like a duck and ran through the level. CHILDREN!!! sheesh. Lucky they were kinda cute >0<
This was the day that I got about 11 or more mosquito bites on my arms.. by some little mosquitoes that are the size of fruit flies. DISGUSTING.
I think I'm allergic to them because they swelled up to about the size of an ORANGE. It was nasty... I'm so thankful they have finally SHRANK.
Seriously - I itched so bad.. so I put cold water... aloe vera... some super minty cream.. then I had to resort to my aunt's fermented fruit drink aka wine. It's terrible tasting but I think it did the trick.
Here's my arm: (You have to still be my friend after you look at it. MMK ^_^)

Kinda gross, right? I'm just so thankful they're gone. They were nasty little buggers.

I honestly cannot wait until I move to Vancouver. I am so ready for the sun and the ocean mostly. I love being near the water. *So I took some sand with me from the beach. HEHEHEHE*  Even if it's a rainy, grey day out .. I think that if I was near the water, I would feel happier. Maybe cuz of my horoscope ... *makes crab pincers* CANCER! hollaaa hahaha.
This sand is from my weekend trip to Kenting this past weekend with my cousin Linda. It was so beautiful and stress-free there... well, dur I was on a mini vacay.
It is the most south of Taiwan.. which is really cool because this time around, I've been to the very north (Taipei) and now the very south (Kenting) - it it most definitely a tourist-y place. They sell California-looking clothing there aka the flowers, flip flops, sand.. my favourite things.

CHECK OUT THAT WATER!!!!! It was so warm... it was AWESOME.
There were "on water" activities too ... There is the banana boat where 4 people sit on a banana looking floatation device with no harnesses - you're just sitting on a banana. They are hooked to the back of a seadoo and taken out to the ocean and over the waves and eventually, they're thrown off. Crazy things young people do for fun.. hahaaa.
My contribution to sand writing...
YEAH MAN. 2011 <3 Remember why?
Cuz it's my GOLDEN RABBIT YEAR - that's WHY!!
I'm graduating with my Bachelor of Education degree and entering my Masters degree straight away IN VANCOUVER.
I am really excited.
And I've been learning so much about myself, people and Taiwan these past 2 months. I am grateful for my experience here.

I miss all you wonderful people dearly so please... Skype me.. or e-mail me.. or just talk to me sometimes ok?
Thank you always for reading.
